Sharjah 24:
The Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah has successfully concluded the tenth edition of its “Illuminate Your Summer with the Quran” programme. This event was part of the foundation’s summer initiative, “Our Summer is Better,” and was celebrated during a ceremony held at the Sharjah Quran Complex. The event recognised 76 outstanding participants from nearly 500 individuals who benefited from the programme, which took place across the city of Sharjah and the central and eastern regions of the emirate.
Instilling Quranic Values and Strengthening Youth Connections to the Holy Book
Running from 7 July to 20 August 2026, the programme was designed for boys and girls aged seven and older. The foundation aimed to utilise the summer break to instil Quranic values and enhance the younger generation’s connection to the Holy Quran, providing an educational environment that combined memorisation, recitation, learning, competition, and motivation.
This initiative falls under the umbrella of “Our Summer is Better,” which focuses on delivering purposeful programmes and activities during the summer holiday. The foundation strives to promote its mission of serving the Quran and Sunnah while offering students educational and developmental opportunities that blend benefit with enjoyment in an encouraging atmosphere conducive to learning and excellence.
Providing Meaningful Summer Programmes
The concluding ceremony featured the recognition of exceptional participants in appreciation of their efforts, commitment to the programme, and progress in memorising the Quran and understanding recitation rules. This reflects the programme’s positive impact on optimally utilising students’ time during the summer break.
The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continue offering high-quality Quranic programmes targeting various age groups. These initiatives support families in nurturing a generation closely connected to the Quran, while also providing meaningful summer programmes that contribute to participants’ skill development and reinforce values of discipline, perseverance, and the effective use of leisure time.
