Summary
The first phase of the “Ghatariyf” programme has commenced, aimed at qualifying 1,280 Emirati graduates over 11 months through seven locations and three pathways to enhance readiness for the future and foster responsibility.
The Federal Youth Authority has officially launched the first phase of the National Readiness Programme “Ghatariyf,” which began on Monday. This initiative involves 1,280 young Emiratis who have recently graduated from secondary school across various emirates of the UAE, and spans a duration of 11 months.
A Comprehensive Framework
Dr Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and head of the authority, stated, “We want the youth to emerge from this phase with enhanced ability to navigate changes, seize opportunities, and take on responsibilities. The experiences they gain will serve as a foundation for their academic pursuits and professional journeys, translating into active contributions to their communities and their nation.”
Seven Educational Locations
According to Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the director of the authority, “We have ensured that the components of the programme are integrated into a practical experience that gradually evolves according to the needs of each phase, allowing participants to apply what they learn in diverse environments. This approach enhances the quality of outcomes and achieves the goals for which the programme was designed.”
The first phase of “Ghatariyf” will take place across seven sites within a comprehensive execution framework that brings together educational institutions and national partners. This initiative provides integrated environments for training, qualification, and practical application, including the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, as well as Al Sharjah University and Khorfakkan University. This broad geographical scope allows participants to join the programme from various regions within the UAE, offering an educational structure that meets the implementation requirements across the nation.
Participants will be divided into three pathways: Defence and Security, Health and Care, and Sustainability and Vital Services.
