In a thrilling addition to the Power Slap calendar, the upcoming Power Slap 25 event in Abu Dhabi will feature an eagerly anticipated rematch for the Super Heavyweight Title. Scheduled for Friday, October 23, this monumental clash between Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes and the formidable Dumpling promises to be a highlight of the Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.
Title Rematch Highlighting Power Slap 25
The main event for Power Slap 25, presented by Monster Energy, revolves around a colossal rematch that has been over a year in the making. This unprecedented showdown will see almost 800 pounds in the arena as the two titans return to the Power Slap stage.
The last time Viernes and Dumpling faced off was during Power Slap 13 in June 2025, when Da Hawaiian Hitman claimed the Super Heavyweight Title through a majority decision after an intense five-round battle. Since that significant victory, Viernes has successfully defended his title against top contender Makini Manu, solidifying his status as the reigning champion.
Dumpling’s Path to Redemption
Meanwhile, Dumpling has bounced back impressively from his previous defeat. Coming off a stunning knockout win over David Zales at Power Slap 22 in Serbia, he is hungry to reclaim his title and prove his prowess in the ring once again. Notably, Dumpling holds the honour of being the first slap fighter to catch the eye of Power Slap founder Dana White, marking him as one of the sport’s early superstars.
Co-Main Event and Other Exciting Matches
In addition to the headline bout, the co-main event will showcase a thrilling lightweight contest between Dakota McGrego, the number one ranked contender and former title challenger, and Reiley Montoya, currently ranked third. Both fighters are notable for their knockout abilities and resilience, making this a pivotal matchup for anyone eyeing the undefeated Lightweight Champion, Robert Trujillo.
The main card also features undefeated Louis Robinson from the UK, who is set to clash with India’s Jujhar Singh, a rising Power Slap star. Additionally, Slovakia’s Peter Truchlik will face Estonia’s Merlis Muusikus in a middleweight showdown.
