Abu Dhabi’s community councils, under the auspices of the Citizen Affairs and Community Office within the Presidential Court, have launched an innovative initiative called “ملفى الإبداع” (Creativity Portfolio). In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, this community-driven project aims to discover and nurture talents across various fields, including visual arts, crafts, photography, and creative and technical projects. The initiative provides a qualitative platform for showcasing these talents, enhancing the cultural landscape and amplifying the presence of creators within the community.
Showcasing Young Talent
The first phase of the initiative commenced at the Al Shawamekh Council in Abu Dhabi with an exhibition titled “إبداع الغد: كيف يرى شبابنا مستقبلنا الثقافي” (Creativity of Tomorrow: How Our Youth Envisions Our Cultural Future). Coinciding with International Youth Day, the exhibition ran for three days, celebrating youth creativity and their vital role in enriching the cultural and artistic movement in the region.
Empowering Youth Through Opportunities
Saif Al Mansoori, the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, emphasised that the council’s involvement as a strategic partner in the initiative is a continuation of its mission to empower youth and create opportunities for them to showcase their talents across various fields. He highlighted that this partnership offers a valuable space for young talents to exhibit their works and projects, thereby enhancing their visibility in the cultural scene. Additionally, it helps build bridges with specialists and experts, contributing to their participation in the creative economy and broadening their horizons for growth and development.
Through initiatives like “ملفى الإبداع”, Abu Dhabi is not only fostering creativity but also embarking on a journey to harness the potential of its youth, ensuring that their contributions resonate within and beyond the cultural landscape.
