الشارقة 24 – وام:
The inauguration of the “Ajman Girls Centre” in the Al-Humidiya area marks a significant milestone in youth empowerment initiatives in the UAE. His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, officially opened the centre in the presence of various distinguished officials, including Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Dr Sultan bin Sif Al Niyadi, and Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation.
Community-Focused Development
During the visit, Sheikh Ammar assessed the centre’s facilities and programmes, receiving insights into its operational model, which was developed through a participatory approach involving girls, parents, and strategic partners. This model aims to create a centre that genuinely reflects community needs and delivers programmes that resonate with the aspirations and priorities of young women.
A Celebration of Youth
The centre’s opening coincides with International Youth Day, complementing the Federal Youth Foundation’s efforts to develop youth centres across the Emirates. This initiative embodies the UAE’s commitment to investing in human capital, providing quality environments that empower young people to develop their skills, expand their participation opportunities, and enhance their roles in supporting national development, aligning with the National Youth Agenda 2031.
Investment in Human Capital
Sheikh Ammar emphasised that Ajman, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, remains dedicated to investing in its people, recognising them as the bedrock of developmental progress and the driving force behind sustainable national achievements.
He stated, “Ajman supports initiatives that empower young men and women, expanding their capacities and enhancing their contributions across various sectors, in line with the UAE’s vision for a more competitive and prosperous future.”
Empowerment through Opportunity
Furthermore, Sheikh Ammar added that the Ajman Girls Centre represents a qualitative addition to the country’s youth empowerment framework, broadening opportunities for young women and reinforcing their presence across multiple fields. This initiative reflects the UAE’s approach to enabling all citizens to contribute to the nation’s future.
Emphasising Leadership and Innovation
Dr Sultan Al Niyadi remarked on the exceptional support Emirati youth receive from the country’s leadership, reinforcing the commitment to youth empowerment as a national strategy through a comprehensive framework of policies and initiatives. He said, “The Ajman Girls Centre embodies the UAE’s vision to provide quality environments that harness the potential of young women, offering programmes that stem from their realities and aspirations.”
Targeting the Youth of Tomorrow
Targeting youth aged between 13 and 35, the centre offers a comprehensive suite of programmes focusing on future skills, personality development, leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, and quality of life. It aims to create stimulating spaces for learning, experimentation, and innovation, enhancing their readiness to engage actively in society.
Four Core Pillars
The centre is structured around four main pillars: empowerment and capacity building, innovation and creativity, community participation and leadership, and quality of life and welfare. These pillars support programmes that nurture personal and professional skills, encourage innovation, foster social responsibility, and enhance quality of life.
The Federal Youth Foundation also presented the outcomes of a foundational programme that preceded the centre’s opening. This programme involved dialogue sessions and participatory workshops with girls, parents, and partners, which contributed to defining the operational model, mapping out initial programme offerings, and establishing supportive partnerships to ensure the centre’s sustainability and the development of initiatives that meet the needs of young women in Ajman.
