“Etihad Airways” has officially launched its inaugural direct flight between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent, achieving full occupancy. This marks the commencement of daily services to Uzbekistan aboard Airbus A320 aircraft, according to a press release obtained by 24.
The new service connects Tashkent with Abu Dhabi and expands the airline’s network across the Gulf Cooperation Council, Europe, the Levant, and North America. The daily flights are designated EY830 departing from Abu Dhabi and EY831 returning from Tashkent.

Frank Meyer, the Chief Digital Officer at Etihad Airways, remarked that Uzbekistan represents a growing market in Central Asia, enhancing connectivity options through Abu Dhabi.
The flights are integrated with the code-sharing agreement between Etihad Airways and Uzbekistan Airways, facilitating travel to eight destinations within Uzbekistan, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, and Fergana.

Transition from Six to Daily Flights
In July 2025, Etihad Airways announced plans to include Tashkent in its network, initially offering six flights weekly. In May 2026, the airline updated its strategy to provide daily flights starting from August 9, coinciding with the implementation of the code-sharing partnership with the Uzbek carrier.
