The Sharjah Sports Council has announced the launch of the “Kafa’at” electronic platform, designed to establish a central database for talented individuals and leaders in sports and administration. This initiative aims to enhance the development of the sports sector within the Emirate of Sharjah.
The platform will serve as a strategic reference for the Council when forming or restructuring club boards of directors, creating advisory and specialised committees, and selecting representatives for the emirate in various sports federations. Additionally, it will assist in sourcing specialised expertise for future projects and initiatives.
Registration Process and Participation
Individuals interested in joining the platform can register directly through its dedicated website. They are required to submit personal details, qualifications, certificates, previous experiences, and targeted positions, along with their availability for full-time or part-time work, supported by relevant documentation.
Participation in the platform is available through two main pathways: self-registration by creating a profile that showcases an individual’s qualifications and experiences, or by nominating someone deemed qualified. The initial nomination simply requires the candidate’s name, contact information, rationale for the nomination, and suggested fields of expertise. The platform team will then reach out to complete the candidate’s details.
Areas of Expertise and Roles
Nominations for roles are being accepted based on experience in various fields, including executive management, strategy, governance, investment, marketing, media, legal affairs, financial management, auditing, human resources, event management, facility management, and talent management. This includes roles suggested for executive positions and board memberships within Sharjah’s sports clubs.
