شرطة أبوظبي تحذر من التوقف وسط الطريق لتفادي الحوادث المتتالية وتدعو لبلوغ مكان آمن أو الاتصال بـ999 مع التركيز أثناء القيادة.

Increased Vigilance Required on Abu Dhabi Roads

The Abu Dhabi Police, in partnership with the Control and Monitoring Centre, has released an awareness video showcasing various traffic accidents caused by vehicles stopping in the middle of the road. These incidents led to multiple collisions owing to drivers being inattentive and distracted while traffic was halted.

Dangerous Situations from Mid-Road Stoppages

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police has emphasised the severe risks associated with stopping on roadways, whether due to vehicle breakdowns or unforeseen circumstances. They urge drivers to continue driving to the nearest exit or a safe location whenever possible to ensure both their safety and that of others.

Emergency Protocols and Driver Responsibilities

In instances where a vehicle cannot be moved, immediate contact with the Control and Monitoring Centre via emergency number 999 is critical. This allows for prompt assistance, reducing the potential for serious accidents and maintaining the flow of traffic.

Focus and Awareness on the Road

Furthermore, the police have called for all drivers to remain fully attentive while driving and to refrain from any distractions. Being prepared to address any traffic emergencies is essential; awareness and vigilance are key components in avoiding unforeseen surprises on the road and making timely decisions.
