As of July 29, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research has announced a significant advancement in the higher education landscape, with 74 institutions registered on a newly updated unified platform for enrolment and admissions. This initiative is set to benefit over 40,000 students across both public and private universities, including the three federal universities in the United Arab Emirates: the United Arab Emirates University, the Higher Colleges of Technology, and Zayed University.
Enhancing Access and Coordination
The updated platform, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, aims to ensure smooth data integration and procedural alignment between general education and higher education. It is designed to empower students to plan their academic paths more effectively and make informed decisions regarding their educational futures.
User-Friendly Experience
The newly launched platform features a completely redesigned user interface that prioritises simplicity and clarity. It includes three main interfaces tailored specifically for students, schools, and higher education institutions, providing a seamless and user-friendly digital experience.
Facilitating Early Academic Planning
The unified enrolment and admissions platform enables students in grades 10 and 11 to start planning their academic trajectories early. Through the platform, they can browse and research academic programmes offered by higher education institutions without needing to submit an application initially. For students in grade 12 and above, the platform allows direct application submissions to higher education institutions.
This comprehensive approach signifies a pivotal step towards enhancing the educational journey for students in the UAE, streamlining processes, and fostering a more informed and engaged learner community.
