The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department is making significant strides in the development of vital infrastructure projects in the Mufout area. Director General Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi recently inspected the ongoing projects, which align with the department’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and promoting sustainable development, thereby improving the quality of life across the emirate.
Progress in Mufout Development
Al Nuaimi highlighted the significant attention the Mufout area receives from the Ajman government, which has ambitious visions and developmental plans to further progress in the region. He noted that Mufout has become a model for other areas due to its unique geographical features and natural beauty, making it a promising destination for tourism and investment.
He stated, “The implementation of vital projects in the region will significantly enhance its infrastructure, improve quality of life, and attract additional high-quality investments, in line with Ajman’s vision for achieving sustainable and balanced urban development across its territories.”
Commitment to Quality and Efficiency
Al Nuaimi also emphasised that the department is executing projects to the highest standards of quality and efficiency while adhering to approved timelines. He affirmed that incorporating smart technologies in development projects reflects the department’s direction towards delivering advanced services, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, and meeting community aspirations, all while bolstering the comprehensive developmental journey of the emirate.
Accompanying Al Nuaimi during the tour were several key officials, including Dr. Engineer Khalid Maeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, and Yusuf Mohammed Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Rental Dispute Centre, among others.
Project Updates
Al Nuaimi reviewed the progress of road developments in Mufout, reporting an impressive completion rate of 33%. He also inspected the bicycle path project, which is nearing completion at 90%. Both projects reflect the department’s commitment to meeting development timelines.
Additionally, the tour included a visit to the first-of-its-kind Smart Gateway System supported by artificial intelligence in the region’s quarries. This innovative project aims to enhance monitoring and operational regulation through cutting-edge digital technologies, thereby supporting public safety and increasing compliance with environmental standards.
The system combines automated monitoring, digital collection, and regulatory compliance within a unified framework. It aims to improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience using advanced cameras, artificial intelligence systems, and digital payment technologies, ensuring real-time monitoring of vehicle movements in quarry sites.
Community Engagement
During the field visit, Al Nuaimi took the opportunity to engage with residents of Mufout, gathering their opinions and suggestions on various service-related topics and future aspirations. He reiterated the department’s commitment to fostering direct communication with the community and establishing a cooperative approach that contributes to service improvement and enhances quality of life. This approach aligns with the leadership’s directives to incorporate community feedback into the ongoing developmental narrative of the emirate.
