Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Launches Talent Empowerment Programs

Abu Dhabi (WAM)

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and under the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Ladies Clubs, Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has announced the launch of a series of sports, cultural and community programmes and initiatives.

Summer camp launches under ‘Discovering Talents’

The academy is organising its summer camp under the شعار “Discovering Talents” from 13 July to 6 August at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. It is aimed at girls aged four to 10 and boys aged four to eight, as part of its 2026 events agenda.

The activities are designed to promote quality of life, encourage community members to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, and identify and empower emerging talents across a range of sporting and cultural fields. They also coincide with the Year of Family and form part of the academy’s ongoing efforts to embed the idea of sport as a way of life and provide a safe, motivating environment that supports children’s and women’s participation in sports, cultural and community activities.

Wide range of sports, learning and leisure activities

The programme includes a diverse mix of sporting, recreational and educational activities, among them basketball, volleyball, football and martial arts, alongside entertainment segments, educational and awareness workshops, and other summer-focused events designed for children.

The academy is also continuing its support for cultural and knowledge-based initiatives through the opening of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Sports Academy Library, which also includes publications from the Fatima bint Hazza Cultural Foundation, as well as a variety of knowledge corners.

The library aims to promote a culture of reading and continuous learning, strengthen cultural and intellectual awareness among people of all age groups, and serve as a platform supporting the development of a more knowledgeable community.

Facilities open to women during the Year of Family

In conjunction with the Year of Family, Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy is also offering women the opportunity to use its sports facilities in Abu Dhabi as part of efforts to support and enhance quality of life.

The academy provides access to the running track, football pitch and padel court in an integrated sporting environment that supports continued participation in physical activities.

Commitment to empowerment and community participation

شمسة سيف الهنائي, a board member of Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, said the launch of this series of initiatives and events is an extension of the academy’s mission to empower women and strengthen community participation in sports and cultural activities, contributing to building a healthier and more active society and enhancing the role of sport in developing skills and refining talents from an early age.

She noted the academy’s keenness to provide an integrated environment that brings together sport, culture, education and entertainment, in line with family aspirations and supporting both children and women.
