The President Issues a Federal Decree to Restructure the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, Headed by Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed
In a move that reflects the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to international humanitarian issues, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, issued Federal Decree No. (94) of 2026, restructuring the International Humanitarian Affairs Council under the presidency of His Highness Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative aims to enhance the country’s humanitarian role and expand its sustainable efforts in humanitarian cooperation.
New Members of the Council
According to the decree, the International Humanitarian Affairs Council consists of a diverse group of prominent figures. The members include His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, and Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation. The membership also includes His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, as well as His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Additionally, the council features His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary-General of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Amiri, President of the Emirates Agency for International Aid, and His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
