Details of the Scholarship Program
Beginning on July 1, the Sharjah Higher Education and Scientific Research Council will welcome applications for scholarships to cover bachelor’s and graduate programs. The application process will be open for one month through the council’s dedicated website, schesr.shj.ae.
Leadership’s Support and Vision
Dr. Aisha Mohammed Bukhater Al-Shamsi, the Secretary-General of the Council, emphasized that establishing the council as the authoritative body overseeing the scholarship programs aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The initiative aims to standardize scholarship procedures and enhance support for eligible students in their academic pursuits.
Enhancing Opportunities
The Council will not only accept and evaluate applications but will also continuously monitor the scholarship programs according to established criteria. This approach promotes equal educational opportunities while providing a cohesive management framework for scholarships in Sharjah’s higher education institutions.
Scholarship Criteria and Application Process
The scholarship initiative includes updated acceptance criteria designed to align with labor market needs and developmental priorities. This ensures that students are guided toward in-demand fields of study, further supporting Sharjah’s future development goals. Eligible students will be able to apply online after receiving admission or preliminary acceptance from an accredited higher education institution in Sharjah.
The Council encourages students and parents to review the requirements, criteria, and categories of eligible candidates through its official website. It is crucial to ensure that all application requirements are met within the designated time frame.
This scholarship program is part of the Sharjah Higher Education and Scientific Research Council’s broader efforts to support students, enhance access to higher education, and foster the development of qualified local talent that will contribute significantly to Sharjah’s ongoing progress.
