Dubai Chambers Discuss Investment Growth with Saskatchewan Premier
In a strategic move to enhance international economic cooperation, Dubai Chambers met with Scott Moe, the Premier of Saskatchewan, Canada, to explore ways to foster investment and boost trade between Dubai and Saskatchewan. The meeting aims to open new avenues in areas such as food security and energy, reflecting the growing interest from Canadian companies in entering the UAE market, which contributes to expanding strategic business partnerships that leverage Saskatchewan’s abundant natural and agricultural resources.
Expanding Business Partnerships in Priority Sectors
The meeting took place in Regina, Canada, with the attendance of several officials from Dubai Chambers, including Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori and Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah. The discussions focused on enhancing commercial and investment aspects while benefiting from sustainable growth and meeting market needs.
Al Mansoori emphasized, “The strategic ties between Dubai and Canada exemplify an advanced model of cooperation based on a shared vision for innovation and sustainable growth.” He added, “These foundations provide a strong base to advance bilateral relations to more progressive stages by building strategic partnerships that align with global economic transformations and open new horizons for growth and investment.”
Growth Opportunities for Canadian Companies in Dubai
Data indicates that the number of active Canadian companies registered with Dubai Chambers has increased from 1,165 in 2020 to 4,667 by the end of 2025, demonstrating significant growth of 300%. This growth reflects Dubai’s attractiveness as an ideal destination for Canadian entrepreneurs to invest and expand.
Saskatchewan is known as one of Canada’s richest provinces in natural resources, hosting centers for potash, uranium, and grain production. This offers real opportunities for partnerships between companies in both regions, particularly in areas such as food security, fertilizers, and energy, aligning with Dubai’s strategies as a global trade and re-export hub.
Growth Corridors Initiative and Enhancing Trade Cooperation
This visit is part of the international trade missions organized by Dubai Chambers under the “Growth Corridors” initiative. This initiative aims to enhance cooperation between Dubai and promising global markets, opening new high-level communication channels between Dubai companies and their international counterparts. The initiative underscores the importance of strategic collaboration in launching joint projects and enhancing sectoral integration.
The initiative seeks to facilitate the entry of Dubai companies into new markets while enhancing their understanding of changing economic environments and investment incentives, preparing them to face challenges and seize opportunities on the international stage.
