The “Made in the UAE 2026” platform, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and several key stakeholders, is set to showcase over 1,100 participating companies. Scheduled for May 4 to 7 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, this year’s event aims to strengthen the industrial resilience of the UAE. With the theme “We are showing our strength,” this initiative will highlight not only local talents but also strategic opportunities for international investment across various industrial sectors.
Empowering Industrial Growth
The “Made in the UAE 2026” event, now in its fifth edition, will bring together more than 1,100 participating companies across 12 industrial sectors. Among the participants, small and medium enterprises will constitute a significant portion, making up 61% of the total. The event anticipates attracting over 120,000 visitors, including international investors, manufacturers, decision-makers, and leaders from the global industrial sector. With discussions and announcements focused on new procurement opportunities, this platform is expected to play a critical role in localizing the production of around 5,000 products in the UAE.
Economic Resilience Initiatives
Aligned with the launch of “Made in the UAE 2026,” the UAE Cabinet has approved a series of strategic initiatives designed to bolster the resilience of the industrial sector and ensure business continuity in the country. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, emphasized that ongoing efforts aim to transform industrial priorities into tangible economic and commercial activities. The platform serves as a critical touchpoint for engaging manufacturers, investors, small businesses, startups, job seekers, and the general public, facilitating partnerships, expanding procurement channels, and securing supply chains.
Strategic Governmental Support
The Cabinet has also introduced significant measures, including the establishment of the National Industrial Resilience Fund, valued at one billion dirhams, to support the localization of vital industries and improve the robustness of supply chains. This initiative is expected to build strategic reserves in key sectors such as food, manufacturing, and chemicals. Moreover, policies encouraging the presence of national products in retail and e-commerce channels have been enacted, further promoting local manufacturing. This focus on enhancing the competitiveness of local enterprises will be a priority throughout “Made in the UAE 2026.”
Innovative Technologies and Industry Trends
Over the four days of “Made in the UAE 2026,” attendees will witness the translation of the Cabinet’s industrial resilience agenda into practical commercial outcomes. The event will unveil quality national procurement opportunities and expedite the localization of numerous vital products, aligned with the nation’s goals of import substitution and enhancing supply chain resilience. Additionally, specialized platforms will showcase cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and industrial innovations, including robotics and AI-driven systems, all aimed at propelling the UAE’s industrial landscape toward a more efficient and competitive future.
