In a significant advancement in Dubai real estate, Meraas has awarded a contract valued at AED 1.9 billion ($517 million) to United Engineering Construction (UNEC) for the development of The Acres, a luxurious standalone villa community located in Dubailand. The Acres Project Details
Meraas’s agreement with UNEC encompasses the initial phase of The Acres, which will feature a total of 642 villas along with various community amenities. The completion of this extensive project is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.
These elegant villas will offer options of three, four, and five bedrooms, varying in size from 3,048 to 6,001 square feet. Each residence is designed to include private gardens, seamlessly connected by beautifully landscaped paths that lead to the central Halo Loop Park and an interconnected network of swimmable lagoons.

The Acres is designed around the central Halo Loop Park, promoting community interaction through expansive green spaces and well-planned infrastructure. Several sustainability objectives have been established, including:
- Achieving an 80 percent reduction in per-capita greenhouse gas emissions compared to national averages
- Aiming for a 33 percent decrease in water usage in relation to the UAE average
- Utilizing 100 percent irrigation sourced from treated wastewater
This commitment to sustainability has enabled The Acres to obtain LEED Gold Pre-certification, which highlights Meraas’ dedication to environmentally responsible urban development.
Residents of The Acres will enjoy a wide range of facilities, including a nursery, school, clinic, mosques, and clubhouses, all conveniently connected by Halo Loop Park and its seven themed gardens.
