At the Dubai Airshow, Autocraft, a company owned by the Abu Dhabi government and part of K2, unveiled a comprehensive model of its electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) platform. This innovative design highlights the future of urban air mobility and transportation. Running until November 21, the exhibition offers attendees a glimpse into a transformative era of aerial transport.
Immersive Experience at the Exhibition
Autocraft designed its pavilion to resemble a luxurious Vertiport, allowing visitors to explore the future of air travel booking and service stages. Although no actual flights are in place, attendees can engage in all pre-flight procedures. Utilizing the company’s advanced self-service technology, participants can book their journeys by scanning a QR code and inputting the necessary information, all while navigating through electronic gates without human intervention.
Showcasing Advanced Technology
Central to the company’s exhibition booth is the Autocraft E20 Plus, a vertical electric aircraft capable of reaching speeds of up to 320 kilometers per hour, showcasing its cutting-edge wing design and airborne capabilities. Additionally, the pavilion features the Eneron Magnus Civilian, a civilian-use vehicle based on the company’s other innovations, including the Magnus BB, the police-specific Magnus Polis, and the advanced firefighting vehicle, Magnus Fire Command. These vehicles exemplify the future of public safety and urban transit.
Vision for Urban Mobility
According to Sean Teo, the CEO of K2, urban mobility is undergoing a significant transformation, with eVTOL technology at its core. He remarked, “As cities grow and the need for smarter, cleaner transport increases, these aircraft will play a pivotal role in reshaping movement.” Teo expressed pride in being part of this new chapter that innovation will bring to ground transportation.
Walid Al Blooshi, Vice President for Strategic Affairs at K2, noted that the company’s display at the Dubai Airshow provides a comprehensive vision of the future of urban mobility. “From seamless air transport to smart road mobility solutions, we are developing the infrastructure and innovations that will redefine urban movement on a global scale,” he stated.
