In a remarkable initiative focused on inclusivity and community engagement, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended the second volunteer opportunity, “A Creative Session with People of Determination.” This event, part of the broader initiative “7 Volunteer Opportunities in 7 Emirates,” underscores the UAE’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, providing them a platform to express their creativity and skills.

These values are at the core of the UAE’s community, highlighting that giving back is a responsibility and creativity is a universal language that unites us all under our nation’s flag.”
A Celebration of Art and National Pride
The event, held at Al Mamzar Park in Dubai, coincided with UAE Flag Day and saw the participation of notable figures, including Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Minister of Community Development Sheikha Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, along with other distinguished leaders. Highlighting the importance of community integration, Sheikh Hamdan pointed out, “The initiative ‘7 Volunteer Opportunities in 7 Emirates’ reflects our leadership’s vision to instill a culture of volunteerism, contributing to both personal empowerment and community development.”
Art as a Bridge to Communication
Sheikha Latifa praised the talents of the volunteers and participants, noting how the artistic expressions showcased during the session conveyed their love for the nation. She affirmed, “Art is one of the most essential bridges for human communication, conveying messages in a universal language that requires no translation. It is crucial to enable various groups and support them in showcasing their talents, thus fostering a spirit of creativity and collective contribution to the nation’s artistic landscape.”
A Collaborative Showcase of Creativity
More than 200 creative individuals of determination, alongside over 400 specialized volunteers, participated in this initiative. Together, they produced several artistic works reflecting the identity and heritage of the UAE. One standout contribution was the mural of the UAE flag painted on the exterior wall of the park’s theater, a testament to the spirit of creativity and community engagement, enhancing the values of giving and empowerment for all community members.
