Watercraft Made in the UAE and Hybrid Yachts at the “Dubai Used Boat Show”
The “Dubai Used Boat Show 2025” kicked off last Friday, showcasing prominent products, including watercraft manufactured in the UAE and hybrid yachts that combine electric and diesel power using solar panels. This event reflects how Dubai has become a global hub for innovation in recreational boating, allowing visitors to explore the latest trends in the world of used boats and yachts.
Launch of New Products at the Boat Show
The exhibition saw a significant turnout from over 50 global brands, featuring more than 50 yachts and boats on display. Prices for these products range from 60,000 AED for some boats to luxury yachts that can cost up to 30 million AED. These figures underscore Dubai’s status as a key destination for the used boat trade, potentially attracting over 5,000 visitors during the exhibition days.
Natural Resources and Green Innovations
Abdullah Ali Al-Non, Director of Special Projects at “Dubai Golf,” stated that this year’s exhibition presented unprecedented new products to visitors, including hybrid green yachts. He explained that there is a gradual shift in market needs toward sustainable yachts that incorporate innovative technologies and reduce reliance on traditional fuels.
Evolution of the Used Yacht Market in Dubai
Dubai has established itself as a prominent regional center for the trade of used yachts and boats, supported by advanced marinas and facilities that facilitate sales and licensing transactions. The local manufacturing rate for used yachts is estimated at 20% of the total products traded, reflecting the growth of the local industry and increasing confidence in products made in the UAE.
Watercraft Prices
“OZ Marine” is keen on offering watercraft in various designs, with prices for used models starting at 60,000 AED, while new models range between 100,000 and 200,000 AED. This illustrates the diversity of options available for enthusiasts and investors in this sector.
The “Dubai Used Boat Show” demonstrates how Dubai is diligently working to become a leading center for innovation and sustainability in the marine sector, embodying the continuous growth of the maritime industry in the emirate, where registered marine transport increased by 14.4% last year.
