The recent issuance of a federal decree by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, marks a significant step forward in the reformation of the board of trustees for the “Zayed Human Legacy Foundation.” Under the new leadership of Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed, the foundation is poised to enhance its humanitarian missions through a diversified board composed of influential figures dedicated to social causes.
In a move reflecting a commitment to humanitarian development, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, issued a federal decree regarding the reformation of the board of trustees for the “Zayed Human Legacy Foundation,” chaired by Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council.
According to Decree No. 116 of 2025, the board of trustees will include a group of distinguished figures, including His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Head of the Founder’s Office. This formation embodies diversity and expertise through members such as His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs, and Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development.
The Zayed Human Legacy Foundation, under the patronage of the President, was established pursuant to Decree No. 126 of 2024, with the aim of achieving a noble humanitarian mission. The foundation has an independent legal personality and full legal capacity to carry out its activities and achieve its objectives. It also oversees several specialized entities and institutions, enhancing its effectiveness in humanitarian work.
The Zayed Human Legacy Foundation collaborates with numerous humanitarian initiatives and projects, with its core missions including prominent institutions such as the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works. In this way, the foundation represents a true embodiment of the humanitarian vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
With these new changes in its composition, the Zayed Human Legacy Foundation looks forward to achieving further accomplishments in social and humanitarian work, in collaboration with all members of the new board.
