Impressive Achievements in “Al-Thnaya” Races
This evening, the competitions for the Al-Thnaya symbols for the camels of Their Highnesses were held, attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The distance set for the challenges was 8 kilometers, featuring strong participation from many prominent logos.
“Sayyada,” under the banner of the Shihaniya camels and trained by Salim Farhan Al Marri, secured first place in the open Al-Thnaya fillies cup, achieving a remarkable time of 12:00.2 minutes. Meanwhile, “Mukafih” won the second race designated for the open Al-Thnaya geldings, adding another achievement for the Shihaniya camels with a time of 12:06.8 minutes.
Outstanding Performances by “Al-Sayah” and “Hamloul”
In the local Al-Thnaya fillies cup, “Al-Sayah,” under the banner of the Zabeel camels, stood out, achieving the best time in the Al-Thnaya category with a record of 11:55.9 minutes, guided by trainer Rashid Mohammed Maroush. The excitement didn’t end there; “Hamloul” concluded the evening’s events by winning the local Al-Thnaya geldings cup, delivering victory for the Presidency camels with trainer Hamdan Mohammed Maroush, clocking in at 11:58.8 minutes.
Award Ceremony and Sports Enthusiasm
The winners of the Al-Thnaya symbols for the camels of Their Highnesses were awarded on the podium at the Al Marmoom arena, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with Ali Saeed bin Sarood, Executive Director of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, and Abdullah Ahmed Faraj, Director of Media, Marketing, Events, and Partner Relations at the club.
This morning, the challenges of the Al-Thnaya category took place, where the prominent logos competed in 14 races over a distance of 8 kilometers. Despite the fierce competition, “Al-Doha” from the Shihaniya camels, led by trainer Jarlah Mohammed Taleb Aqeel Al-Nabit, was the first to achieve victory in the first race, recording a time of 12:07.0 minutes.
The event was also marked by competitive bidding among owners, as the 13th Al Marmoom auction saw intense interest in camel breeds. The auction showcased the “Al-Danjilawi – Al-Aseefa” lineage, among other transactions that occurred at impressive prices.
