The Sharjah Volunteer Award is inviting the private sector to participate in its 23rd edition, emphasizing the crucial role businesses play in fostering a culture of volunteering. Running from November 1 to the end of December 2025, this initiative aims to motivate private entities to contribute to community development and sustainability through innovative volunteer programs.
The Sharjah Volunteer Award continues to strengthen its presence in supporting various sectors by highlighting private institutions as a fundamental category within its framework. By focusing on this segment, the award aims to underscore the active role that private entities play in cultivating a culture of volunteerism across the nation. The initiatives they provide reflect the private sector’s commitment to social responsibility, enhancing its contributions toward community service and sustainable development.
Private institutions are defined as entities and companies operating within various economic and service sectors. Their significance as key partners in the volunteer ecosystem cannot be overstated, as they offer programs and initiatives that support volunteers and contribute to building a cohesive and sustainable community.
Awards and Recognition
The Sharjah Volunteer Award offers private institutions the opportunity to compete for a variety of awards that highlight their role in promoting corporate volunteerism. These awards include the “Best Volunteer Opportunity Creator” for entities that innovate diverse volunteer opportunities, as well as the “Best Supporter of Volunteer Work” for organizations that provide financial or moral support to volunteer initiatives. Additionally, there is the “Best Volunteer Initiative” award for projects that have a tangible positive impact on the community, along with other awards that encourage the private sector to propose more innovative and sustainable initiatives.
The objective of these awards is to motivate private institutions to adopt best practices in corporate volunteering and enhance their roles in supporting community initiatives that foster a culture of giving and social responsibility. This aligns perfectly with the Sharjah Volunteer Award’s mission to elevate volunteerism in the emirate and beyond.
