In a significant move to promote literature and education, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has allocated 4.5 million dirhams to enhance the libraries of the emirate. This investment aims to acquire the latest publications from participating publishers at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, which is set to host 2,350 publishers and exhibitors from 118 countries, featuring the most recent Arabic and foreign titles across various fields of knowledge.

Sharjah International Book Fair: A Cultural Milestone

Themed “Between You and the Book,” this year’s book fair continues to establish itself as one of the largest cultural events globally. It features over 2,350 publishers from 118 countries, including 1,224 Arab publishers and 1,126 foreign entities. Additionally, more than 250 creators and thinkers from 66 nations will be present, offering over 1,200 cultural, intellectual, and artistic activities.

The substantial allocation of 4.5 million dirhams will undoubtedly enrich the libraries in Sharjah, making a wide variety of contemporary publications available to the community.
