However, after accounting for event expenses, only GBP 389,000 was distributed to partner charities, highlighting a drastic disparity between funds raised and their intended use.

Additional charges included nearly EUR 8,000 for spa treatments, room service, and products purchased at the hotel.
The inquiry determined that Campbell spent six nights in the hotel, but only two of those nights were related to the charity’s event. This discrepancy raises significant ethical questions regarding the stewardship of charitable funds and the accountability of high-profile trustees.
In a statement made after the ban, Campbell emphasized, “I was not in control of my charity. I put the control in the hands of a legal employer.
