This Sunday, the Skill Development Centre at Khorfakkan University, in collaboration with the Leadership Institute for Higher Education at Sharjah University, implemented a training course highlighting the significance of artificial intelligence in education and academic research. The event saw participation from 93 members of the teaching faculty across various universities.
Empowering Educators with AI Skills
Mariam Khamis Al-Naqbi, Head of the Training Section at the Skill Development Centre, emphasised that the course aims to enhance the skill set of teaching staff and equip them to effectively utilise artificial intelligence technologies in both education and research. This initiative responds to the rapidly evolving technological landscape in academia.
Diverse Learning Environments for All Participants
To accommodate the diverse needs of participants, the course was conducted in two separate rooms: one for Arabic-speaking faculty members and another for non-Arabic speakers. This arrangement ensures that all attendees can benefit from the training content and discussions.

Al-Naqbi reaffirmed the importance of the collaboration with the Leadership Institute for Higher Education at Sharjah University, stating that it aims to expand specialised training programmes.
