Say Hello to Haya’s Kitchen Meets KAVE
A vibrant new chapter for Haya’s Kitchen has begun, as it finds a welcoming home at KAVE. This exciting development highlights the journey of Haya Bishouty, a Palestinian chef whose culinary endeavors have captivated the hearts of food lovers. Starting from humble beginnings as a supper club, Haya’s Kitchen has evolved into a permanent establishment, reflecting not just a passion for cooking but also a rich cultural heritage. Located in the artistic hub of Alserkal Avenue, Haya’s Kitchen Meets KAVE promises an unforgettable culinary experience rooted in Palestinian traditions.
Who doesn’t love a supper-club-to-permanent success story? We’ve seen many of these delicious tales emerge from Dubai in recent years – from Neha Mishra’s A Story of Food to Kinoya, Gabriela Chamorro’s Girl and the Goose, and the husband-and-wife duo Salam and Tareq’s Dukkan El Baba, to name a few.
The latest entrant to this club is Haya’s Kitchen, Palestinian chef Haya Bishouty’s culinary baby. What initially began as Sufra, a Covid-era awakening from corporate life, and a series of workshops around Palestinian culinary skills, has now blossomed into a permanent kitchen.

Haya’s Kitchen Meets KAVE has been operational for about six months, with a grand launch coming up soon, and is nestled inside KAVE on a serene lane of Alserkal Avenue.
The Story
Co-founders and friends Haya and Rania Kana’an welcome guests into their thoughtfully designed space—a hub dedicated to fostering a community of eco-conscious, kind-hearted individuals. The environment features a spacious co-working area outfitted with communal tables, surrounded by pop-up retail displays showcasing sustainable, regional, and upcycled brands. Visitors can explore a variety of apparel, jewelry, vintage accessories, ceramics, bags, and more, with the kitchen nestled in a cozy corner.

The synergy of these two concepts is deeply rooted in their intentions. Haya’s Kitchen has always represented Haya’s personal journey into discovering and embracing her Palestinian heritage, while KAVE seeks to resurrect the traditions of our ancestors—promoting a system of conscious living that encourages taking from the Earth and giving back.
Both women are honoring their heritage, as well as their grandmothers, by reviving a communal way of life, whether through the food served or the connections nurtured within the space.

The Food
The menu at Haya’s Kitchen Meets KAVE showcases a blend of seasonal and personal cooking—an embodiment of the essence of any culinary culture. Diners can indulge in dishes like msakhan and macarona bil’laban, prepared in true, unadulterated styles reminiscent of childhood favorites.
In an era when meals were dictated by the seasons, Haya’s Kitchen embraces locally-sourced ingredients, with recipes passed down from generations. Highlights include a selection of seasonal salads featuring bulgur wheat and tomatoes.

No food is wasted; every ingredient is meticulously preserved to ensure nothing goes bad. This philosophy is exemplified in khweya, a breakfast dish featuring leftover oven-baked Arabic bread soaked in warm milk with cinnamon and sugar before serving.
As guests enjoy their meals, Haya and Rania share personal stories about each dish, recounting different versions of the same comfort food enjoyed across various regions of Palestine. These narratives serve not just as a dining experience, but as a heartfelt connection to their rich heritage.
Haya’s Kitchen Meets KAVE, located at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai, welcomes visitors on weekdays from 10 am to 7 pm, and on weekends from 11 am to 8 pm. The kitchen remains closed on Mondays. Follow them on Instagram: @hkmeetsk, @hayasktchn, @kavepeople.
