The Sharjah Ladies Club and its eight branches have announced the opening of registration for this year’s Summer Wonders camp, set to take place from June 23 to August 28. This initiative aims to provide a safe, supportive, and educational environment for children and teens during their summer break, featuring a variety of exciting activities that cater to different age groups and interests. The camp’s programs at the club’s main location include the Summer Wonders Camp for children aged 6 to 10, which combines arts and sports activities, as well as the World of Colors program focusing on the artistic creativity of girls aged 6 to 10 and boys aged 6 to 8. Additionally, there will be a summer camp for teens aged 11 to 16, designed to foster development in a fun and creative atmosphere, preparing them to be the innovators of tomorrow.
Alia Al Shanasie, Director of Business Administration at Sharjah Ladies Club, stated, “In line with our commitment at the Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches to provide a safe and inspiring environment for children and teens, we strive annually to develop summer programs that enhance their personal growth and open new horizons for innovation and discovery. Our goal is not just to keep them occupied, but to offer them a rich experience that nurtures their talents and builds their self-confidence in an interactive setting that combines learning with fun. We encourage parents to take advantage of this opportunity and enroll their children in this summer program.”
It’s noteworthy that the activities across the club’s branches vary to meet the interests of girls aged 2 to 16 and boys aged 2 to 8. Participants can look forward to competitions and sports activities such as water games challenges, yoga classes, and boat races. Artistic activities include crafting dolls, recycling, candle making and decorating, pottery painting, crochet workshops, and the Little Chef program, which features summer beverages. These activities will be hosted at the fitness center, the Marasi restaurant, and the Creativity Center, among others.
Mawzah Al Washahi, Director of the Sharjah Ladies Club branch in Kalba, emphasized the importance of such developmental programs, stating, “We ensure that our branches provide rich and updated content each year, diversifying activities to fit the interests of children and teens, offering them a fun summer experience within a safe and inclusive environment.”
The camp’s main location will host activities in two sessions: a morning session from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and an evening session from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, programs in various branches are scheduled flexibly, generally extending from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with slight variations in the timetable for each branch.
