On the occasion of the #Shitana_in_Hatta festival, “Brand Dubai,” the creative arm of the Dubai Media Office, organized an exceptional “Camping” event near the breathtaking landscapes of Hatta Mountains. This event focused on exploratory activities and workshops that contribute to enhancing social interaction among participants, while also highlighting the natural and cultural diversity of the region. The camping experience was designed as a way to explore the stunning nature, making it the perfect opportunity to discover the beauty of Hatta.
Event Kickoff: The Start of the Hiking Journey
The camping event began with a gathering of over 50 participants at Suhailah Lakes, where the exploratory hiking journey commenced under the supervision of environmental researcher Sultan Al Blooshi. Al Blooshi led participants on a special tour through the Hatta Mountains to observe the wildlife and unique geological formations that characterize this beautiful area. The goal of this journey was to raise environmental awareness among participants.
Unique Experiences Under the Hatta Sky
In the evening, an engaging lecture took place, featuring a quiz on the names of stars and when they can be seen throughout the month, adding an interactive dimension to the event. Youssef Al Qasimi also presented a star-gazing experience, discussing the relationship of ancestors with the sky and how they used stars to navigate on their journeys.
Exploring Wildlife and Photography
Under the guidance of professional photographer Abdullah Al Hattawi, participants learned about the various species of birds and animals that inhabit the Hatta Mountains. There was also a focus on professional photography techniques to document the stunning scenes of wildlife and nature, adding extra value to the participants’ experience during the camping event.
