The Dubai real estate sector recorded AED22.16 billion ($6 billion) in transactions last week, according to data from the Land Department. This impressive figure reflects a significant surge in property sales and investments, including high-value properties such as a $16 million apartment on the iconic Palm Jumeirah. As the region continues to attract both local and international investors, the Dubai real estate sector remains a focal point of economic growth and development.
Sales transactions were the driving force behind this robust performance, amounting to AED15.47 billion ($4.2 billion), as per the Land Department data.
In total, 4,490 sales transactions were recorded between April 28 and May 2, highlighting a busy week for the market.
Luxury Highlights in Dubai’s Real Estate Market
Among the standout transactions, several luxury properties caught the public’s attention. Notably, an apartment in One at Palm Jumeirah sold for AED60 million ($16.3 million), making it one of the most expensive sales in the region. Additionally, an apartment in Muraba Veil located by the Dubai Water Canal sold for AED33.46 million ($9.1 million), while another luxurious apartment in the Six Senses Residences in Palm Jumeirah fetched AED27.5 million ($7.5 million). These figures not only showcase the desirability of prime locations but also reaffirm the Dubai real estate sector’s status as a leader in the luxury property market.
Other Noteworthy Transactions
In addition to these high-profile sales, the Land Department reported mortgage deals worth AED5.12 billion ($1.4 billion) for the week. This indicates a strong mortgage market, supported by favorable lending conditions and growing confidence among buyers. Furthermore, gift transactions during the same period reached AED1.57 billion ($427 million), underscoring the diverse ways in which real estate is being utilized in Dubai.
