From Monday morning to Friday morning, they efficiently handled an impressive 56,608 calls during the weather disturbance. This remarkable figure underscores the vital role played by the center in maintaining order and safety during emergencies.

A Heartbeat of Emergency Management

Brigadier Turki bin Faris, the director of the Command and Control Center, described the facility as the heartbeat of Dubai Police’s emergency management. Equipped with cutting-edge systems, the center can monitor the real-time status of situations on the ground, enhancing their response speed to emergencies. He noted, “The center features a massive screen that provides live, precise updates on different areas of Dubai, along with news feeds and relevant police data.” This commitment to real-time monitoring is crucial during challenging weather conditions.

Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Ahmed Al Mandous, acting deputy director of the Command and Control Center, emphasized the remarkable response rate: 97% of incoming calls are answered within just 10 seconds. This achievement is a testament to the professionalism demonstrated by the individuals in the center and aligns with Dubai Police’s strategic objectives for prompt emergency response. He also highlighted the inclusion of female staff members in the center, fostering diversity and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the emergency response team.

Corporal Saeed Mohsen expressed pride in working at the Command and Control Center, noting that teamwork is pivotal in their operations. “We pride ourselves on our role in receiving emergency calls and ensuring that we quickly analyze and direct resources to address any urgent situations,” he stated.
