Dubai Partners to Train 10,000 in AI by 2030

The commitment to advance artificial intelligence (AI) skills in Dubai is gaining momentum as the Dubai Human Resources Authority partners with “Camps Dubai,” a subsidiary of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This collaboration aims to equip over 10,000 individuals with essential AI expertise by the year 2030, marking a significant step towards nurturing a skilled workforce primed for the digital age.

Collaboration for a Knowledge-Based Economy

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Dubai Human Resources Authority and Camps Dubai for the development of AI capabilities reflects a strategic initiative to enhance workforce readiness in both the public and private sectors. The training programs envisioned are designed to address the evolving technological landscape and align with the objectives set forth in Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33), which emphasizes the importance of fostering a sustainable knowledge-based economy.

Commitment to Skill Development

Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Human Resources Authority, emphasized the significance of this agreement, stating that it underscores the commitment to developing the skill sets of both government and private sector employees. “Investing in human capital is fundamental to solidifying Dubai’s position in leading knowledge economies globally,” he noted. The initiative seeks to empower employees with future-oriented tools and techniques essential for navigating digital transformations.

Innovative Training Programs and Initiatives

Among the notable initiatives under this partnership is the “Artificial Intelligence for Public Service” program, specifically targeting government employees. This program introduces participants to generative AI techniques aimed at enhancing public service delivery. It encourages attendees to devise innovative ideas that will be evaluated by a committee comprising representatives from DIFC, the Udacity platform, and industry experts.

Additionally, the agreement outlines plans for organizing advanced seminars and workshops, creating specialized academic content, and analyzing contemporary studies on AI applications within human resources. There is also a focus on jointly promoting the various tech initiatives that Dubai is harboring, reinforcing the city’s position as a hub for innovation.

Fostering a Culture of Innovation

This MoU is a continuation of the ongoing efforts between the Dubai Human Resources Authority and DIFC, emphasizing the cultivation of a culture of governmental innovation. Through this collaboration, they aspire to create a new generation of competencies equipped to lead future developments and realize Dubai’s strategic visions.

As Dubai gears up to embrace the digital future, the partnership between the Dubai Human Resources Authority and “Camps Dubai” stands as a beacon of commitment to workforce development in AI, striving to train 10,000 individuals and ensuring the emirate remains competitive on the global stage.
