In an inspiring move to enhance community support, the Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation has assumed responsibility for funding the Umrah journey for 40 beneficiaries. This initiative is part of the “Umrah of a Lifetime” program organized by Dar Al Ber Society, highlighting the organization’s commitment to charitable endeavors and the pivotal role of endowments in serving the community. The collaboration exemplifies a significant effort to promote religious observance among those who may otherwise face financial barriers.

As part of its ongoing efforts to support charitable initiatives, the Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation has covered the expenses for 40 beneficiaries to perform Umrah under the “Umrah of a Lifetime” initiative organized by Dar Al Ber Society. This initiative is designed to provide opportunities for new Muslims and individuals with limited income, as well as those wishing to perform Umrah for the first time, with the foundation covering all trip expenses from its Hajj and Umrah bank.

Fahd Mohammed Al-Banay, Head of the Endowment Banking Department at the foundation, stated, “The ‘Umrah of a Lifetime’ initiative stems from our social responsibility and our commitment to empowering community members to perform religious rituals with ease, especially for deserving groups.” This statement reflects the foundation’s dedication to spreading Islamic values by facilitating Umrah for individuals in need of support.

For his part, Youssef Al-Yateem, Assistant CEO of the Zakat and Community Development Sector at Dar Al Ber Society, emphasized the importance of the “Umrah of a Lifetime” initiative. He mentioned that “the commitment to implementing the ‘Umrah of a Lifetime’ initiative reflects our values in supporting beneficiaries and meeting their religious needs.” This collaboration between the two parties enhances charitable efforts and increases access to those most in need within the community.

Providing this opportunity to perform Umrah reflects the positive interaction among Dubai institutions in promoting charitable work and offering necessary support to individuals. With such initiatives, the Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation continues to affirm its active role in serving the community by enhancing the concept of endowments in providing support and assistance.
