Strategic Collaboration with Microsoft
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, met with Naim Yazbek, General Manager of Microsoft UAE. The meeting focused on prospects for collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, as well as leveraging the latest technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the energy and utility sectors.
Both parties discussed ways to benefit from the advanced technological solutions provided by Microsoft to support DEWA’s innovation-focused initiatives. The discussions centered on enhancing operational efficiency and developing new infrastructure solutions that align with Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE’s Climate Neutrality Strategy 2050.

DEWA is moving towards using the latest artificial intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 Copilot, which have contributed to increasing internal productivity, improving service efficiency, and enhancing employee and customer satisfaction. Since 2017, DEWA has embarked on its journey to employ artificial intelligence technologies, becoming one of the first institutions in the world to adopt Microsoft’s Copilot platform.
