His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, was present for the groundbreaking ceremony of the “Anantara Al Siniyah Island Resort” and the “Anantara Shoba Al Siniyah Residences.” This significant event marks a continuing effort by the emirate to enhance its tourism and real estate development, solidifying its status as a premier coastal and tourist destination within the United Arab Emirates.
The ceremony took place following the announcement of a strategic partnership between “Shoba Al Siniyah Island” and “Minor Hotels,” which will see the introduction of the “Anantara Hotels and Resorts” brand to Umm Al Qaiwain for the first time. The partnership is facilitated through “Shoba Al Siniyah LLC,” a joint venture between Shoba Realty and Umm Al Qaiwain Real Estate Company.
The event was held at Shoba Al Siniyah Island and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Mualla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, as well as Rafi Menon, Chairman of Shoba Group, Francis Alfred, Managing Director of Shoba Al Siniyah, William Heinecke, Founder and Chairman of Minor International, and several officials and representatives from relevant authorities.
The partnership agreement was signed by Sheikh Mansour Al Mualla, a board member, and Francis Alfred, on behalf of Shoba Al Siniyah, while Amir Gulberg, the Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East and Africa, signed for “Minor Hotels.”
