Celestyal Secures Three-Year Partnership to Boost Abu Dhabi Tourism

In a significant move for the cruise industry, cruise giant Celestyal has signed a three-year tourism deal with Abu Dhabi, marking a strategic partnership aimed at promoting the emirate as a premier destination for travelers. This collaboration, announced at the Seatrade Global event in Miami, emphasizes Celestyal’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the region and showcases Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a key stop for cruise guests.

New Partnership Enhances Regional Presence

Celestyal’s three-year agreement with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is set to strengthen the cruise line’s ties to the region. The partnership indicates a mutual interest in expanding tourism opportunities in the emirate, with an eye towards attracting cruise passengers looking for unique experiences.

Return to the UAE with Exciting Itineraries

The cruise giant will re-enter the UAE market with two ships slated to operate in December, providing three weekly calls to Abu Dhabi throughout the winter season, extending until March 2026. This move signals Celestyal’s commitment to being a significant player in the Arabian Gulf cruise landscape.

Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s chief commercial officer, expressed enthusiasm about the new agreement. He stated, “Abu Dhabi is a diverse and stunning destination, which is why we’re excited to not only homeport there but also include three weekly calls to the city throughout the winter season for the next three years.”

Haslett went on to emphasize the importance of collaboration with local agents, ensuring guests are provided with a rich experience that highlights the unique offerings of Abu Dhabi.

Exciting Shore Excursions for Cruise Passengers

To complement its maritime offerings, Celestyal will feature a comprehensive shore excursion program with nine distinct Abu Dhabi tours designed to immerse guests in the emirate’s culture and attractions. Options include half-day tours showcasing the city’s highlights, as well as culinary explorations, visits to theme parks, luxurious beach days, and thrilling desert safaris.

Last year, Celestyal launched a notably successful seven-day ‘Desert Days’ itinerary aboard the Celestyal Journey, which accommodates up to 1,260 guests on a round trip from Doha, with stops at Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island, and, of course, Abu Dhabi. This inaugural season has proven to be a hit and will continue for a minimum of three years.

With this promising three-year tourism deal with Abu Dhabi, Celestyal is poised to not only boost its cruise offerings but also contribute significantly to the vibrant tourism landscape of the region, welcoming new and returning guests to this extraordinary part of the world.
