The Dubai real estate sector recorded a remarkable AED21.62 billion ($5.9 billion) in transactions last week, as reported by the Land Department. This surge in activity highlights the ongoing vibrancy of Dubai’s property market, particularly in the face of global economic uncertainties. The impressive figures, which include AED7.87 billion ($2.1 billion) in mortgage transactions, underscore a robust demand for both residential and commercial properties within the emirate.

Sales transactions were the standout feature of this week’s data, totaling AED12.32 billion ($3.4 billion), according to Land Department data. The record reveals that there were 4,154 sales transactions registered from August 4 to August 8, indicating a steady flow of activity in the real estate sector.

Among the most noteworthy transactions recorded in the Dubai real estate sector last week were several high-value properties. An office in Enara by Omniyat, located in Business Bay, was sold for AED74.9 million ($20.4 million). Additionally, an apartment at The Alba Residences in Palm Jumeirah found a buyer for AED50.2 million ($13.7 million), while another apartment in Casa Canal at Dubai Water Canal changed hands for AED50 million ($13.6 million).

The Mortgage Landscape

The Dubai real estate sector also experienced significant mortgage activity last week, with mortgage deals reaching a total of AED7.87 billion ($2.1 billion). Additional Transactions Reported

In addition to sales and mortgage transactions, the Land Department reported gift transactions valued at AED1.43 billion ($389 million) during the same period. This trend of gifting properties further illustrates the emotional and financial investment that residents have in their properties and the overall real estate market.
