Fan-Favorite Marvel and One Piece Stars Gather at Abu Dhabi Comic Con

The excitement around the upcoming 2026 Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) in Abu Dhabi has reached new heights with the addition of three notable stars to its lineup: Pom Klementieff, Arden Cho, and Jacob Romero. These new additions join an already impressive roster that includes the likes of John Cena, Mackenyu, and Joonas Suotamo, promising fans an unforgettable experience from September 11 to 13.

A Weekend of Fandoms

MEFCC is heralded as “where fandoms come together,” according to Loy Pinheiro, the Show Director. This year’s edition aims to bring a charged atmosphere of creativity and connection to the capital, allowing fans to dive into diverse themes including comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, K-pop, and collectibles across three vibrant days.

Star Profiles

Pom Klementieff, best known for her role as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has made a name for herself since her debut in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 2017. Her portrayal has continued in multiple MCU titles, reaffirming her iconic status. Beyond superhero films, Klementieff’s work spans critically acclaimed projects such as Spike Lee’s “Old Boy” and the television anthology series “Black Mirror.”

Joining her on stage will be Jacob Romero, who recently captivated audiences in Netflix’s “One Piece” as Usopp. His ability to convey the character’s exuberance has earned him a dedicated fanbase. Romero’s career began to flourish with his role on the Oprah Winfrey Network’s “Greenleaf” and has since diversified with appearances in shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “All Rise.” Expect him to embody Usopp’s dynamic presence at the MEFCC’s Meet the Stars Zone.

Arden Cho, on the other hand, brings a wealth of experience from her performances in “Pretty Little Liars,” “Teen Wolf,” and the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” which broke viewing records on Netflix. Her role as Rumi in the film has brought her international acclaim, contributing to its success with two Oscars in 2026.
