Abu Dhabi, December 5, 2025 – The UAE has allocated one billion US dollars to support the development of the energy sector in Yemen as part of its efforts to enhance sustainable development and improve the living standards of the Yemeni population.
This announcement aligns with the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and is under the supervision of Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed. Abu Dhabi has emphasized its commitment to building a sustainable energy sector based on effective partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The announcement was made during the UAE’s participation in the First National Yemeni Energy Conference (YFNEC 2025), where the UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al-Zabi, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting energy projects and developing infrastructure to contribute to sustainable development and create enduring economic opportunities for the population.
