In a bid to showcase the remarkable efforts of its workforce and document inspiring success stories within its halls, the Sharjah Department of Public Works has rolled out a new media initiative in the form of a podcast titled “مع عمران.” This audio program offers insightful discussions that shine a light on the key achievements of employees as well as the professional experiences of engineers, presented through a series of engaging personal interviews.
Mariam Al Mazmi, Director of the Corporate Communication Center at the department, stated, “The aim of this podcast is to document internal successes and foster a sense of belonging and excellence by sharing experiences that can inspire colleagues and contribute to improving the work environment and enhancing institutional performance.” Each episode features a selection of employees and engineers who have played a significant role in developing operations and achieving tangible results within their areas of expertise. This reflects the spirit of teamwork and excellence that characterizes the department.
“مع عمران” serves as more than just an informational platform; it embodies a symbolic reference to architecture and engineering, enabling employees to share their professional journeys and shed light on the challenges they have faced along with the successes they have achieved. This setting reflects the department’s institutional values and promotes a culture of recognizing individual and collective efforts.
The podcast was developed and coordinated by Ali Al Karbi under the supervision of Nawzad Jadaan, and is hosted by Umran Ali. The filming was handled by Sultan Jokeh and Zaid Al Hashimi, with editing completed by Zhufqar Sheikh. The artistic designs were crafted by Anoud Al Ali, emphasizing the department’s commitment to utilizing its in-house talent and resources without relying on external entities.
This initiative aligns with a broader series of media projects aimed at strengthening internal communication and fostering an innovative and exceptional work environment. By spotlighting inspiring models that have made a difference within the department, “مع عمران” complements the existing “عمران” magazine that is part of the Sharjah Public Works Department, aiming to diversify its media tools and deepen internal communication.
