Dubai welcomed 11.17 million visitors in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 5% increase. This demonstrates the city’s significant potential as a global tourist destination and reflects its success in attracting a growing number of international tourists during the first half of the year. With a noticeable increase compared to last year, Dubai once again proves its strength in attracting visitors and offering unique experiences.
Notable Growth in Visitor Numbers
During the first seven months of 2025, Dubai received over 11.17 million international visitors, representing a 5% increase compared to the same period last year, which saw 10.62 million visitors. Statistics indicate that Dubai attracted more than 550,000 additional visitors compared to July of last year, highlighting the emirate’s ongoing appeal as a global tourist destination.
According to a report from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, international visitors spent over 25.53 million nights in hotels, achieving a growth rate of 4% compared to the same period in 2023. The average length of stay for visitors increased to 3.7 hotel nights, up from 3.6 nights in 2024, indicating a rising trend in tourism.
Improvements in the Hospitality Sector
The daily rates for hotel rooms have seen a significant increase, reaching 551 AED compared to 527 AED during the same period last year. This improvement is reflected in the rise of the average revenue per available room to 435 AED, demonstrating a clear enhancement in the performance of Dubai’s hospitality sector.
These increases indicate the hotels’ ability to adjust their prices in response to rising demand, enhancing profitability and boosting the attractiveness of the city’s tourism market. This success is part of Dubai’s commitment to achieving the strategic goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Increased Capacity
Official data indicates that the number of hotel rooms in Dubai reached 152,360 by the end of July, marking a 1% increase from 150,560 rooms during the same period last year. This investment expansion reflects Dubai’s position as a destination capable of meeting the needs of various tourist segments.
Five-star luxury hotels account for 35% of the total capacity, highlighting the diverse options available in Dubai, ranging from upscale hotels to budget choices. This variety enhances the city’s appeal as a tourist destination that caters to all tastes.
Analysis of Visitor Sources
Statistics show that Western Europe accounted for 21% of total visitors, while sources of visitors varied from different regions, reflecting Dubai’s attractiveness in multiple markets. The Gulf Cooperation Council countries contributed 16%, while other regions such as Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and South Asia added to the significant diversity of tourists.
The increase in international visitors is primarily due to the integrated strategies adopted by Dubai, which encompass sustainability, innovation, and leadership. These targeted efforts have contributed to raising global awareness of Dubai’s diverse and appealing tourism offerings.
